It’s that time of the year again! Every gym is advertising it’s New Year’s Resolutions discount, and every person is vowing that THIS year, they really are going to watch less TV/read more books/eat less chocolate/etc. And what is your dog doing? Just enjoying all the world has to offer! It’s so easy for us to think of THINGS that we want to HAVE or ACCOMPLISH, instead of WHO we want to be, and HOW we want to interact with the world around us. So this year, I encourage us all to take a hint from our local dog philosophers:
Get out of bed early. There’s so much to experience!
Test out that latest fashion craze you’ve been dying to try. Who cares what people say?
Spend some down time with your family. They’ll always be there for you.
Try looking at the world from a different angle. Turn your preconceptions upside-down!
Don’t hesitate to ask for help when you’re in a tight spot. Everyone needs a little push sometimes.
Do whatever it takes to get the attention of that special someone. Waiting around just isn’t worth it.
Make sure you get enough quality girl time.
Or boy time.
There are many around you who share your interests–find them!
Get into mischief. It builds character.
Figure out your own path. Sometimes sticking with the pack gets you nowhere.
Make time to be with yourself. You never know what you’ll find in your own head!
But don’t take yourself too seriously! Laugh at yourself! You are wonderful and capable, and your dog knows it. So take a hint from the pooch this new year, and joyfully enter 2015 with a smile on your face and adventure in your heart!
HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM BIG DOG WALKIN’!
