COME TO DAYCARE!

Meet and Greet

Prior to starting services, please email us directly at bigdogwalkinco@gmail.com with your dog's up to date vaccination summary!

Requirements

For the safety of all the animals in our care, BDW requires the following for every dog:

  • Collar or harness with identification and current license tags

  • Up to date vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella

For the safety of our employees, your pup, and all their new friends, it is essential that your dog have a properly fitted collar or harness. Our trained staff does their best to assure that each dog is safely outfitted but BDW is not responsible for any loss or injury resulting from an ill fitted collar or harness.

We know your dog loves to be outside and we love taking them out! However, for the safety of staff and dogs we strongly suggest that all of our clients work on good leash behavior with their dogs at home. Any dog who cannot exhibit good leash behaviors will need to wear a gentle leader, prong collar, or body wrap for their own safety. If you have questions about this policy or would like recommendations on a trainer, please email us at bigdogwalkinco@gmail.com

BDW respects the timeline you and your veterinarian have chosen for your puppy’s spay/neuter procedure. However, at a certain age it is no longer safe for intact dogs to attend our daycare service. If you choose to wait past 8 months to spay/neuter your dog, BDW has the right to refuse daycare services until they have been spayed/neutered. We will gladly continue to provide walking or let out services for your intact dog.

Reservations and Cancellations

All day services must be requested via our scheduling system, Time to Pet. Following our initial meet and greet, we will send you an email to enroll you in our scheduling system. Once you have created an account, you will be able to request services. Please send all boarding requests to our email.

Reservations for our day services must be made online by 8pm the night prior. We will try our best to accomodate late requests but any requests made past the deadline are not guaranteed and will be subject to a late request fee.

BDW has limited service spots per day and the charge on your invoice is for the reservation of that spot. Therefore, any cancellation made past our reservation deadline of 8pm the night prior will be honored but the charge for the reservation will remain on your invoice. To maintain fairness amongst our clients, there are no exceptions to this policy except in the event of a serious medical emergency for your pet in which we will require a note from your veterinarian prior to the removal of the charge.

BDW requires a minimum of 2 walking or let out services per week that you choose to use us. We highly recommend scheduling your dog for a consistent schedule as it helps to reduce stress for your dog as well as their pack mates. There is no minimum service requirement for daycare.

Illness

BDW reserves the right to refuse to provide services for any dog who is showing signs of illness or has been diagnosed with an illness. If your dog is ill, please let us know and do not send them to group services. Symptoms of illnesses include diarrhea, vomiting, coughing, worms, etc. If a dog participating in group services is exhibiting signs/symptoms of an illness, they will be sent home at the owner’s expense. BDW highly recommends consulting a veterinarian if your dog is exhibiting these symptoms, and in some cases may require a note from a veterinary office prior to their return to group services.

Holidays

BDW is closed for day services in observance of the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
